A father and his 12-year-old son built a game device inside an Altoids tin through five iterations over about two months. They began with a salvaged 128×64 display, later combining an Arduino Nano with battery power. The son handled CAD, 3D printing, and much of the later soldering. An incorrect AI-generated pinout made finding the real schematic essential; they also resolved display damage, interface-mode settings, and broken wires. None of the first version’s components survived in the final build. Related discussion shares electronics-learning experiences, but does not validate commercial performance or reproducibility.
