Microsoft says the Entra memberOf rule-operator preview is ending. After November 3, affected dynamic groups, administrative units and entitlement auto-assignment policies will remain in their last known state. Missing additions or removals can leave stale Teams or SharePoint access, Conditional Access targeting and licensing. Administrators should inventory these rules, migrate to supported attribute-based logic or assigned membership, and validate actual membership and administrative scope. Dynamic groups as a whole are not being retired; the affected operator must be removed or replaced.
