OpenSSL 4.1.0 is a feature release adding DTLS 1.3, GREASE and DTLS support in the SSL listener API. It optimizes cryptographic operations on some CPUs, changes tsget’s dependency to Net::Curl::Easy and removes ineffective no-ecdsa and no-ecdh configuration options. Release notes still list DTLS retransmission loss, incorrectly reported errors and handshake failures in certain conditions. New protocol support is not a guarantee of stability in every deployment, so operators should review their usage paths and compatibility.
