The free, open-source scientific calculator SpeedCrunch has released version 1.1. Alongside its existing precision of up to 50 digits and unit-aware calculations, it adds an nth-root function, constant searches by name or unit, and a Classic interface layout. Private tabs discard their contents on closure and are not restored at the next launch; users can switch between private and saved sessions. Release notes also describe fixes for crashes while entering long expressions and for session restoration. The changes help separate persistent calculation records from temporary work while improving input and unit handling.
