Fyra Labs rechecked three benchmarks used to promote Tov against Rust. It could not reproduce the large Fibonacci advantage and reported that removing Rust’s dynamic dispatch narrowed the gap. Changing both the hash map and string handling made Rust faster in that test. Because several implementation conditions changed together, the comparison does not isolate one change or establish a universal language ranking. Deliberate manipulation remains the author’s allegation, not something timings alone prove; the reviewed code must also be distinguished from the current repository.

Rechecking the implementation choices in Tov's Rust benchmarks
Three benchmark tests highlight data structures and implementation choices rather than universal language rankings.
