Unity reports that about 98% of CLI runs from July 20 to October 13 were classified as coding agents and other automation. It counted more than 226,000 logged-in users and 200 million events, led by commands controlling a running Editor. The category includes piped and scripted runs as well as recognized AI tools, while employees and telemetry opt-outs are excluded. It does not mean AI performed 98% of game development. The useful workflow is connecting Editor control through the CLI and Pipeline package; the CLI remains experimental.
