Google introduced support in Android Studio Rabbit 2 for connecting external coding agents such as Claude and Codex through ACP. Agents can use project structure, symbols, emulator state and Logcat context. Expanded Android CLI and Compose preview support also aims to simplify checking some UI results without a full emulator. Related capabilities include Canary and alpha offerings, so they should not all be treated as stable releases. Developers retain responsibility for reviewing generated changes and test results.
