Apple announced a fourth-generation Apple TV 4K with microphones for far-field voice input. Priced at $299 in the United States and launching November 13, it provides conversational Siri AI in the tvOS 27.2 beta. Existing models from the second generation onward also qualify for AI support through a compatible iPhone, but surround sound using four HomePods is exclusive to the new model. Existing users do not need new hardware for every AI feature and should assess the features and connection requirements they need.
