Chrome 155 for Googlebook expands standalone app-window installation to pages without dedicated web-app configuration. Installed pages open from the home screen or taskbar; existing tab-based shortcuts must be removed and reinstalled to gain the new behavior. Separate windows still share accounts, cookies, site permissions and extensions with Chrome, so they are not independent security environments. Reporting describes Play Store rollout of version 155.0.8059.79, and browser settings also move from a separate window into a tab.
