Crystal 1.22.0 made the native event loop the default on all targets and introduced on-demand indexing and caching of DWARF debug information. It also promoted aarch64 Linux support, while compatibility changes such as removing Process.fork require code review. Version 1.22.1, released October 22, fixed an OpenSSL configuration security issue and restored kTLS to an opt-in feature after 1.22.0 enabled it by default. The feature announcement should therefore not be read as a recommendation to install 1.22.0 as the latest version.
