Cybercab riders in Austin have observed controls to open rear-camera video during a trip and darken the cabin display in quiet mode. A Tesla UI engineer explained that tapping changes camera views and swiping shows or hides the display. Previously these views were mainly presented during the exit-safety screen. The change helps passengers inspect surroundings in a vehicle without rear windows or mirrors, but does not establish improved autonomous-driving safety. Official release notes and availability for Model Y robotaxis were not disclosed.
