Google Meet introduced features on the meeting-end screen for drafting follow-up emails and creating Google Tasks items. Automatic notes must be enabled during the meeting, and rollout covers Business and Enterprise Standard and Plus, education AI add-ons, and other eligible plans. Separately, post-quantum encryption began rolling out on October 12 to ordinary calls on the web and meeting-room hardware, with mobile support to follow. Encryption applies automatically, while plan eligibility and administrator permissions for note-based automation require separate checks.

Follow-up automation needs meeting notes and an eligible plan; stronger web-call encryption applies without extra setup.
