Qwen 3.8 27B requires at least 16 GB of memory, with recommended downloads around 10–21 GB, while larger DeepSeek options need much more storage. Optional cloud models use API keys or paid credits and send relevant data to the provider, so they do not have the same privacy conditions as local-only use.
