An Android Police writer logged traffic on a Galaxy S26 Ultra with on-device-only processing enabled. Cloud-dependent Photo Assist actions were restricted, but Bixby requests still connected to Samsung servers. Ten spoken commands generated about 540 KB of outgoing traffic; the logging tool could not decrypt it, so the measurement alone does not prove the exact audio contents or a location-data leak. Bixby has a separate offline-processing setting. In this personal test, simple fixed commands worked offline while natural phrasings failed. Users should check each feature’s coverage rather than treat one switch as blocking all AI communications.
