Microsoft’s MAI-DxO study coordinates models like a diagnostic team to solve complex patient cases. Reporting describes improvements in accuracy and estimated testing costs over base models, but little benefit on emergency-department cases. The physician comparator did not include specialist teams, and the evaluation used written cases rather than actual patient care. Assessing orchestration requires separating the underlying model’s ability from task type; real hospital evaluation is a separate planned step.
