nytpu describes generating ANSI-formatted static documents so an entire website and blog can be read in a terminal. Existing preview output from the custom Gemroff markup is connected to a static-site generator, and Nginx detects curl user agents to serve a separate document root. The public configuration returns to ordinary HTML when an X-Original header is present, allowing the original HTTP response to be requested. This implementation write-up was published in March and updated in October; its simplicity depends on the custom generator’s multiple-output support, rather than a universal conversion feature.

Static terminal output can be reused, but this is not an automatic feature for every website.
