Nvidia said at OCP that it would provide MGX 1.2 rack and tray designs for Vera Rubin and release DSX tools for network configuration, cluster testing, and bare-metal management. The designs account for up to 250 kW per rack and liquid cooling. Nvidia and Cisco are jointly advancing USFP connections at 400 Gb/s per lane. Cisco also introduced Silicon One and its 8001 system for a separate management network, while scheduling nondisruptive SONiC patching for next year. Released designs must be distinguished from planned features; the announcement does not establish compatibility or throughput across all existing equipment.

Open designs and management tools broaden deployment options, but power, cooling, and interoperability still require validation.
