Once Siri in iOS 27 learns their playback preferences, Spotify users no longer need to append the app’s name to every music request. Integration includes songs, podcasts, audiobooks, DJ, and AI playlists. Apple Intelligence must be enabled on supported devices starting with iPhone 15 Pro, and the EU is excluded from this rollout. This is better understood as improved preference handling for voice requests than an unconditional system-wide change of the default music app.
