Microsoft’s roadmap lists PDF merging, page reordering and extraction for Edge on Windows and macOS, targeting January 2027. The workflow is intended to preserve original files and create a new PDF. Reporting says processing happens on the device, potentially reducing uploads to external sites for basic document assembly. An improved annotation panel is also described. These are planned capabilities, not features confirmed available in every current installation, and they do not imply replacement of all PDF-editing or enterprise-security requirements.
