Developer mike64_t reports that a Samsung TV samples 960 by 540 frames every few seconds and computes features with an INT8 AlexNet-style model to recognize games. The post says computation precedes the consent check, with results discarded when consent is absent. This is a reverse-engineering observation on a particular device, not evidence that screenshots are uploaded or every Samsung TV behaves identically. Samsung’s official guidance describes Viewing Information Services as an opt-in ACR feature that users can disable in settings.
