In an FAA consultation on spaceports and launch corridors, SpaceX said it anticipates 10,000 launches annually and argued that current air-traffic procedures constrain expansion. It proposes integrating real-time launch status and moving hazard areas into traffic-management tools to reduce lengthy closures of large airspace blocks. The company’s Louisiana concept calls for about 30 launches and reentries a day. The FAA separately forecast roughly 10,000 licensed activities across the sector by 2035, a different scope from SpaceX’s target. Actual operations still require licensing, environmental review, and airspace integration.
