Uncloud is an open-source tool for deploying services across Linux Docker hosts from Compose files. It connects machines over SSH, builds a WireGuard mesh and configures Caddy-based HTTPS, with extensions such as x-machines and x-ports controlling placement and exposure. Its Unregistry component transfers only missing image layers directly. The approach targets small server fleets without a central control plane or quorum, but it does not automatically reschedule work from failed hosts or share storage volumes. Homelab and small-service deployments still need explicit plans for state, backups and failure recovery.

Uncloud extends Compose-based deployment across Docker hosts
WireGuard and Caddy are integrated, but shared storage and automatic recovery remain separate concerns.
