Tesla said Cybercab has half as many parts as its other vehicles and that its Texas production line has potential throughput above the currently disclosed level. Management described the disclosed figure of more than 125,000 vehicles a year as closer to its current operating rate, without giving a new maximum capacity or cumulative production total. Production is being matched to Robotaxi service demand, so regional deployment permits constrain expansion alongside the speed at which vehicles can be built. Having fewer parts cannot be interpreted to mean that the probability of failure is exactly halved.
