An XDA author describes importing Canon CR2 photos into free, open-source LightCraft and applying exposure, white balance, masks and batch settings. Editing is local and non-destructive, with Windows, macOS and Linux support. Adobe’s camera-specific color profiles cannot simply be reused, and some files required manual distortion and vignetting corrections. Optional local AI denoising targets conventional Bayer RAW files, not iPhone ProRAW, and the author did not test those AI tools’ performance. Whether it can replace a subscription depends on the user’s own camera and required features.
