OpenAI announced that Uber will expand ChatGPT Work to all of its more than 30,000 employees after a pilot involving about 1,000 people. The rollout uses connections to work services such as Drive, Gmail, Calendar, and Slack, alongside approved integrations and training. For general work, it supports finding internal information and drafting documents, while developers will continue using Codex separately. The announcement confirms broader access and workplace connections; it does not mean productivity gains across the entire workforce have already been measured. The ability to connect a service should be distinguished from permission to access its data.

Taking a pilot company-wide still requires separate management of internal data permissions and development tools.
